Story: Peter Parker aka Spider-man wants to be an avenger and help save the world.

After facing a lot of humiliation he finally finds the perfect job to put his skills at use.

Review: The friendly neighbourhood superhero (as Tony Stark puts it) returns! This time in the form  of a 15 year old  boy.    ( though he doesn't look like one.) and minus the back story of his Uncle Ben. Spider-Man casts his web and captures the goons , unfortunately the movie could not quite  do the same for the audience. The film starts off on a rather slow note.  Induced  with mild humour, the first half has nothing more to offer. Instantly picking up pace , the second half is a relief from the sluggishness of the first half. At least it heads in some direction .  Now that Peter  is done figuring out who he is the film takes some interesting turns . The cameos are pleasant especially Robert Downey Jr as the always happening mentor Tony Stark . The jokes, though few they do make you laugh. The love angle in this film is not given too much gravity and Laura Harrier is restricted to batting her eyelids and looking pretty.  Some scenes such as the one in the Washington monument and a fun twist before the homecoming dance are smashing. The fight sequence at the end is poorly executed and 'take a little nap ' worthy . One person who has given his all for this film is Tom Holland.  His emotions , childishness, dialogue delivery are all top- notch . He makes you want to like the film which would not have been half as good without him .  Jacob Batalon is good too as the guy in the chair ( he likes to call himself that .) Ned.  Tv show 'Shake it up' fame Zendaya  too makes an appearance in this film and her character is rather quirky . Half a star in this review is just for the actors. This is not a bad film it is just  a classic case of the trailer showing the whole movie and not leaving the  best for the last . Spider - man's small role in Captain America : Civil War was far more enjoyable than this whole film!  Go watch this one to see your favourite super hero back on screen . However do not keep your expectations too high or you will be disappointed. There are two scenes at the end of the credits  of the film so wait for them. Although the second scene will test your remaining patience! (no spoilers.)
