Review: Spider-Man Far From Home is set eight months after the events of Endgame. So a lot of the questions running through your mind after you witnessed that roller coaster of a film are answered here. The once, friendly neighbourhood Spider- man has now moved away from the comforts of his locality to the beautiful Venice with a bunch of his classmates. Infused with Marvel’s trademark wacky humour, Spider- man far from home makes for an entertaining watch. There is enough happening in this film to keep you thoroughly engrossed. Peter Parker wants to take a break from all the “superhero stuff” and go on his class trip, hopefully proposing to a girl he likes in the process. Of course, Nick Fury will not have any of it and Spider- man is gently forced into an avenger type mission. Also, all the other avengers are just very conveniently unavailable when the world is in danger. Everyone expects a 16 something boy to take over. He may not be just any ordinary boy but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind a little help from some of the most powerful people in the galaxy! Now coming back, this film is “leaps and bounds” ahead of the previous film in it’s franchise. Spider- man far from home has more depth and is slightly darker than Spider- man homecoming. It also doubles up as a high school romantic comedy when Peter is taking a break from saving the world. The special effects of this film are beyond incredible, I almost felt like I was in some virtual ride. Another aspect that makes this film so watchable is it’s amusing cast. Tom Holland leads the way and is just so delightful. He gets better and better with every film and is the perfect choice for the franchise. Jake Gyllenhaal makes an appearance as Mysterio in this film and he is thoroughly convincing. Zendaya reprises her role as MJ and she and Tom Holland make for a cute couple. A lot of the quirky one liners are delivered by the hilarious Jacob Batalon who plays Spider-man’s supportive best friend, Ned. Spider-man far from home casts it’s web and captures the audience in it’s magic. It is the perfect popcorn entertainer for you this weekend.

Thanks to it’s explosive post-credit scenes, Spider- man far from home ends phase 3 of the MCU with a bang! Do wait for them, I promise you will not regret it!
