Review: Thor is back! (I hear hooting from the audience )and this time he has brought with him some scintillating humour. We are transported to a world , or rather nine worlds (realms) of immortal beings where unexpected surprises await you , ready to be unleashed with miraculous flamboyance. Thor, the god of thunder has to fight the rather Hellish Hella to save his fellow Asgardians from the merciless schemes of death and he has the help of a remarkably outlandish yet extraordinarily powerful team of five. It has been four years since the last Thor movie came out in 2013 and the growth in the franchise has been phenomenal since then. Thor: Ragnarok is being appreciated by critics and audiences alike. From the first scene itself the director commands your attention by showcasing a rather fascinating sequence of events where you see Thor having quite a blast! Slowly and steadily you are introduced and reintroduced to the characters. We have a rather winsome Loki , who's character has been modified a bit and trust me no one is complaining !! Loki seems to have stolen Thor's "thunder" this time around. The endearingly menacing hulk is here too , and boy does he make a good comeback! If you are a marvel fan you will love this movie, it has action,comedy, drama, action, action×more action all cooked together to make the perfect marvel dish! Of course this dish is garnished with some imprudence and in a bid to impress the audience the makers sometimes lose control, risking being a tad bit over the top. You could feel that the action is just too much! However this film is largely entertaining. Larger than life sets, quirky dialogues ( courtesy Eric Pearson, Craig Kyle, Christopher Yost), music that complements the film perfectly and on top of all that great performances. Chris Hemsworth seems to be having the time of his life in this one! Cate Blanchett gives evil a new meaning and plays her part with much aplomb. Mark Ruffalo is outstanding and Tom Hiddleston as Loki is quite the revelation.There are plenty of cameos in this one to keep you thoroughly engrossed. Though I won't reveal much to keep the element of surprise intact. We also have the director Taika Waititi playing Korg, perhaps one of the best characters in the movie and he certainly invokes the most laughs. Of course there are the two post credit scenes here as well (a marvel specialty!) So if you are ready to dive into this captivating mythical world then go for it!
